Daughters of the British Empire in the State of New York

The DBE in New York was established in 1909. We currently have five chapters that meet regularly in members' homes or offices. A State Board, made up of elected representatives from many of the chapters, meets monthly to discuss the business of the organization.

The primary objective of the DBE is to raise money for four British Homes for retired men and women across the United States. Locally, the DBE in New York supports Victoria Home in Ossining, NY.

The secondary objectives are local philanthropy, friendship and promotion of closer relationships between those of British and Commonwealth backgrounds.
